Radiesse filler helps your skin rebuild its own support

As we age, we naturally lose collagen, elasticity, and structural support. The result is skin that can begin to look thinner, looser, crepey, or less defined. What if instead of simply adding volume, you could encourage your skin to rebuild its own support from within? Your injectable consultation is free, 60 minutes, and bookable in Denver and Loveland in Colorado, and Denton in Texas.

Your injectable consultation is free.

What it is

What Radiesse is

Radiesse by Merz is a biostimulatory injectable designed to provide immediate support while stimulating your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. It works in a layered way: there is some support right away, and then your own skin typically keeps building on it.

You get the benefit of immediate improvement with results that continue developing.

How it works

How Radiesse works differently from a hyaluronic acid filler

A traditional hyaluronic acid filler holds volume in place where it is put. Radiesse works differently by helping improve the quality and structure of the skin itself over time.

Radiesse belongs in the biostimulator conversation, along with treatments like Sculptra. It is a collagen stimulator option for someone who wants support now and a gradual skin-quality change as collagen and elastin build.

Areas

Where Radiesse can be used: jawline, neck, hands and body

Radiesse may be part of a plan for the jawline, lower face, chin, neck, décolleté, hands, and body. Those areas matter because Radiesse can be used structurally in the jawline, lower face, and chin, and it can also be used in a broader skin-quality plan.

For skin laxity and loss of firmness, we are looking at support and elasticity. With crepey texture, we are looking at skin quality. Facial structure and visible signs of aging are considered without looking overfilled or unnatural.

Hands are treated a little differently from the face, and the recovery can be a bit more noticeable. That is one of the reasons Radiesse injections should be planned carefully around the area, the amount of correction, and how you want the result to look.

The goal is firmer skin, better structure, improved elasticity, and natural-looking rejuvenation.

Hyperdilute

Hyperdilute Radiesse

Depending on the treatment plan, Radiesse can be used to restore facial structure and definition or hyperdiluted to improve skin firmness, elasticity, and overall quality. The structural and hyperdiluted uses are different, and they are planned differently.

Hyperdiluted means it is thinned down and spread over a wider area, so the point is skin quality and firmness rather than adding structure. With the hyperdiluted version, the change typically shows up gradually over weeks and keeps developing for months.

Structural treatment is typically a single visit with maintenance later on; the hyperdiluted skin-quality version is more often a short series spaced weeks apart. Your injector sets the plan at your consultation.

If what you want is more surface renewal, skin tightening, or laser-based skin work, we may talk with you about Skin Resurfacing instead.

The consultation

Your first visit

You start with a free injectable consultation. It is 60 minutes and bookable in Denver, Loveland, and Denton. You also pick your provider when you book.

At our Denton clinic, before any injectable, Laser Loft requires a $33 good-faith exam by an advanced medical practitioner over video through SpaKinect. It is valid for one year.

At the consultation, we talk through what you are hoping to change, what we see, what we would recommend, and what we would skip for now. If the outcome is not what you hoped for, we want you to know who to contact and what the next step is.

The appointment

What a Radiesse appointment is usually like

Injection appointments like this are usually brief once you are in the chair. If multiple areas are being treated, the visit can take longer.

Most people find it manageable. The usual approach is numbing first, and you may feel a pinch or sting as it goes in.

Most people go straight back to their day afterwards.

Candidates

Who Radiesse is for, and who it usually is not

If you are not sure whether Radiesse, traditional filler, or another injectable is right for you, that is exactly what we are here for. Our experienced injectors will evaluate your goals, facial structure, and skin quality to create a treatment plan designed specifically for you.

Radiesse may be a fit for someone who wants to address skin laxity, loss of firmness, crepey texture, facial structure, and visible signs of aging without looking overfilled or unnatural. It may also make sense when you want some immediate change with a gradual collagen-and-elastin response over time.

In general, the usual reasons to hold off are a bleeding disorder, a history of severe allergic reactions, or a known sensitivity to what is in the product. If the skin in the area is broken out, inflamed, or infected, the usual advice is to wait until it settles.

Injectables are generally not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Radiesse is also generally better at firmness and structure than at lifting skin that has gone properly loose, and if that is what is bothering you, we will say so.

Recovery

What recovery is usually like, and the downsides

The usual after-effects are swelling, redness, tenderness, and some bruising at the injection sites. For most people, this settles within days to weeks.

Bruising is common and can take up to about a week to fade, so most people plan around anything important. Firm lumps at an injection point can happen and are usually temporary; tell your injector if you feel one.

Unlike a hyaluronic acid filler, Radiesse cannot be dissolved afterwards, so it is worth being sure before you start. It can also show up on a scan, so it is worth mentioning to your doctor or radiologist if you have imaging later.

Serious problems are rare, and they are the reason injectables belong with a trained medical injector.

Results

When Radiesse results show, and how long they usually last

Radiesse can give immediate improvement, with results that continue developing as your body produces new collagen and elastin.

That is the part people tend to like: there is something to see early, and the skin-quality side keeps working.

The collagen side of it is typically a slow build. It is usually weeks before there is much to see from that part, and it keeps going for months after that.

How long it lasts varies a lot from person to person, generally somewhere around a year and sometimes longer, depending on the area and how you were treated.

It fades gradually rather than dropping off, which is usually why people plan a touch-up before it is gone. Your body breaks the material down over time, so this is not a one-and-done treatment; most people come back for maintenance.

Prep and aftercare

Before and after your appointment

If you take anything that thins your blood, tell us, because it can mean more bruising. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own; that is a conversation with the doctor who prescribed it.

For the first day or so, the usual advice is to skip hard workouts, heat, and a lot of sun, and go easy on alcohol until any swelling and redness have settled. Most people are told to leave the area alone during early healing, with no pressing and no massaging unless your injector tells you to.

The comparison

Radiesse vs Sculptra, and how the choice gets made

Radiesse and Sculptra are often considered together, but they are not the same treatment.

Radiesse is chosen for immediate support while the body produces collagen and elastin over time. The area list also matters: Radiesse can be discussed for neck, décolleté, hands, and body, depending on the plan. The right choice belongs with your injector, who can explain why one direction makes more sense than another.

Why here

Why Laser Loft for this

Laser, ringed

We read support in context

We evaluate your goals, facial structure, and skin quality before we recommend Radiesse. We look at structure and support instead of chasing a single line.

Shield, ringed

We can plan more than structure

We can use Radiesse structurally or hyperdiluted, depending on what your skin and the area need. We can talk through skin quality as well as support across the jawline, neck, hands, and body.

Chat, ringed

We quote from the area

We quote Radiesse once your injector has seen the area and knows the plan. We do not price it off a menu before anyone has looked, because the area and the purpose change the recommendation.

FAQ

Radiesse questions

ask us anything

Radiesse helps improve the quality and structure of the skin itself over time. It can give immediate support while your body produces collagen and elastin.

Hyperdilute Radiesse is a thinned approach used over a wider treatment area. The purpose is usually firmer-feeling skin, better elasticity, and overall skin quality rather than structural correction.

Radiesse can be used for jawline, lower face, chin, neck, décolleté, hands, and body. We can talk through which of those areas fit what you want to change.

Some change can be visible early, and the collagen-and-elastin side usually develops more gradually. Generally, it lasts somewhere around a year, sometimes longer, depending on the area treated and the technique, and it varies from person to person. The change fades gradually rather than stopping all at once.

Your injector confirms Radiesse pricing during your injectable consultation.

The common downsides are typical injection-site effects, including swelling, redness, tenderness, and bruising. Radiesse also cannot be dissolved like hyaluronic acid filler, and the outcome continues to develop after the appointment instead of being finished immediately.
